Workshop Topic:
A systematic approach of how to organize a workspace or area for efficiency and effectiveness by identifying and storing the items used, maintaining the area and items, and sustaining the new order.
Why Use:
5S helps to eliminate waste, streamline production, and optimize efficiencies. Adopting lean practices, which focus on the elimination of waste throughout the organization, creates cost savings while establishing an environment of continuous improvement.
Workshop Description (2 hours):
During this session, the attendees will learn the concepts of 5S and learn how to effectively implement 5S within their organization.
Who Should Attend:
Shop floor and/or office employees, Team Leader/Front Line Supervisors and Plant Managers will benefit from this training.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this workshop attendees will be able to define the five “S’s” and how to apply each of “S’s” on the job.
