VISUAL ERP Quality

Slide background

Introducing Quality Assurance that adapts to Your Business Needs.

Meets and exceeds most all regulatory compliance standards, making ISO recertification incidental.

Increase productivity while maintaining and improving quality.

VISUAL Quality Management’s functionality ensures that product designs become production realities. Differentiate your company from industry competitors through superior quality, customer service and productivity through superior customer service and productivity.

VISUAL Quality Management is a fully integrated total quality management suite that addresses quality assurance issues throughout your operations. You can establish, track, and manage every engineering activity and supply chain expectation while supporting business growth and profitability goals.

You will create critical manufacturing specifications for products, processes, equipment, and measuring devices, and improve enterprise team collaboration with vendors, customers, and employees.

VISUAL Quality Management provides tools to help you automate associated design, pre-production, production, and post-production activities; expertly manage business performance; and easily collect, control, and analyze quality system data.

Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)

  • Manage engineering processes from concept and design through all phases of product development. Engineering Project Management
  • Initiate and drive short- and long-term engineering activities such as new product development, new OEM projects, and other critical activities. Product Data Management (PDM)
  • Unite part master information, Bill of Material detail, design characteristics, and key production specifications into one database environment to achieve complete control over products.

Inspection Plans, FMEAs, and Control Plans

  • Maintain critical product and process specifications with associated equipment, device, inspection, and control charting as defined in Product Data Management and Process Management.
  • Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) – Design review of possible variation for both products and processes is supplied with FMEAs. Calculate RPNs, prioritize continuous improvement projects via analysis of FMEA results, and automatically communicate FMEA review ticklers to employees when related products or processes change.
  • Create inspection plans linked to statistical process control (SPC) for engineering review and evaluation.

Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Provides pre-production process studies for performance or capability analysis through measures and graphs, including:

  • Cpk—Process Capability Index for a stable process
  • Ppk—Process Performance Index for a chronically unstable but predictable pattern process
  • Short- and Long-Term Studies—Understand process variation; view more than a specified index value
  • Frequency Histogram—Graphical presentation of a frequency of the measurements’ distribution

Variable and attribute control charts

For monitoring production runs including:

  • Xbar and r—Average and Range
  • Xbar and sigma—Average and Standard Deviation
  • X and MR—Individual (or Run Chart) Moving Range
  • P as a %—Percentage of non-conforming items in each sample
  • Np—Number of non-conforming items in each sample

Document Management

  • Centralize the location, change history, and document audits for electronic and physical documents.

Infor Visual Quality is a Quality Assurance and Control tool comprised of 16 quality systems.

Each of these areas can be used independently or in an integrated fashion with one another. If you use them together, information is passed from one module to another with complete visibility of workflow steps and traceability as needed when problem solving or resolving internal or external audit issues.
Reporting
Infor Visual Quality includes more than 400 reports; forms, master lists, due date reports and trend analyses with charts.
Task and Team Management
Groupware/Collaboration are built-in with direct email activation and functionality, data sharing across modules and functions, user-defined workflow with alerts and notifications (smart process flow charts), real-time “To Do Lists” for each user, automatic scheduling and event management. You can build and manage teams, groups, etc., and collaborate between employees, supplier representatives, and customers.
Document Templates
All 16 systems come with both Level II (procedures) and Level III (work instructions with screen captures) Word document templates for all functionality. This option can be used as comparison documents when moving from your current quality systems into the Visual Quality Management solution. It is important to use Infor Visual Quality to the complexity that your company needs it for.

Why Visual Quality?

  1. Consolidated Knowledge Management – Anyone. Any time. Anywhere. Effective continuous improvement initiatives have strong knowledge management as their foundation. With VQM you will move from disparate paper, Access databases and Excel spread sheets to a supply chain quality assurance electronic records system.
  2. Negative Trends Detection/Risk Management – Minimize Error/Maximize Outcome – You can get hurt. If negative trends are not detected in a timely manner and eliminated then cost of goods sold increases while earnings decrease. It’s not a one-to-one! For every 10% increase in COGS, 30% decrease in Revenues. With VQM you can reverse these numbers. 10% decrease in COGS, 30% increase in Revenues.
  3. Cost-effective Compliance Management – You are at risk. You have achieved your quality assurance standards’ and regulations compliance/certification. Next you will face cost-effective maintenance and management of your systems.
  4. Speed – Improved teamwork, supply chain collaboration and employee effectiveness
  • Built-in Groupware/Collaboration with direct email activation and functionality
  • Data sharing across quality systems and functions
  • User-defined workflow with alerts and notifications (smart process flow charts)
  • Real-time “To Do Lists” for each user
  • Automatic scheduling and event management
  • Improved supply chain efficiency and effectiveness

Performance focus management and continuous improvement without hiring new people, buying new equipment or adding new sales numbers, through real-time quality business systems management.

No Boundaries

Breaking down traditional manufacturing barriers between Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing and Quality is the first step. Promoting collaborative, “dimensional quality thinking” across your company is what you now face. What if everyone had access to quality details and lessons-learned to help minimize his/her errors and maximize your company’s profit?

Warner Power

“Many people believe that the implementation of a QMS software package, like Visual Quality, is the starting point to building a solid Quality data collection program, install the software and plug in the data. Not true. Your processes must be in place well in advance. But how well are you doing with that? Synergy Resources helped us determine just that with their Quality Assessment. Synergy Resources provided an unbiased, current state look into our company’s quality management systems as it related to our business, not just to a specific quality standard audit. They provided solid feedback and participated in subsequent internal conversations to help guide us forward into our current phase, the implementation of Visual Quality.”

Lori Mullen, Director of Information Systems

Olympus NDT

“After attending a Synergy Resources Operational Boot Camp put on by the Strategic Business Services Division we immediately implemented ideas presented at the workshop that contributed to a significant improvement in our on-time delivery.
