Synergy Resources Partners With Diverse Technology Solutions to Bring VISUAL ERP to the Cloud
Central Islip, NY – (1/20/16) Synergy Resources, the largest Value Added Reseller and service provider of Infor’s VISUAL ERP software has announced a partnership with Diverse Technology Solutions (DTS), a leading provider of cloud hosting and technology consulting services.
Synergy Resources has certified DTS as their exclusive cloud hosting provider licensed to run VISUAL ERP manufacturing software “in the cloud”. Infor VISUAL ERP is designed for Engineer to Order, custom, make to order, configure and assemble to order, as well as make to stock manufacturing companies. Its unique capabilities improve the business performance of manufacturing companies by providing greater visibility into costs of manufacturing, scheduling and on-time delivery, and areas to improve the quality of the manufacturing materials and processes.
The partnership between Synergy and DTS enables access to the VISUAL ERP software through the cloud. This will allow manufacturing companies to achieve a lower cost of IT ownership, by offloading hardware infrastructure maintenance. The product will be sold directly by Synergy Resources under the name “Synergy Cloud” powered by Diverse Technology Solutions. Synergy’s Andy Pratico has been busy this week discussing VISUAL ERP with several CMTS 2015 attendees. He and his colleagues were glad to see many Synergy customers with their own booths at the show as well. It was another great year at the CMTS!
Synergy Resources is excited to announce that S.I. Howard Glass has just been certified to the ISO 9001 standard! A third generation family owned business in Massachusetts, Howard Glass specializes in the manufacturing of custom made flat glass parts for the industrial, scientific, and medical industries. A visual customer since 2011, Howard Glass undertook an ISO 9001 implementation, in conjunction with a series of Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing programs including Kaizen, 5S, and TPM Events, beginning in October of 2013.
This project was made possible with the assistance of a Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund Grant. Synergy Resources worked with Howard Glass through the Grant Preparation and Application Process, as well as facilitating the ISO 9001 program implementation in conjunction with the Continuous Improvement program events.
During this time Howard Glass has improved to 90 – 95% On Time Delivery from less than 70% over the last year and a half. They have continued to meet their growth goals, and expect to increase their revenue based on the recent certification. The unique blending of the Quality Management System requirements with Continuous Improvement events helped to create a system that is embedded within the structure of day to day operations.

First Partners Achieve Micro-Vertical Specialization through New Enablement Program
NEW YORK – June 15, 2015 – Infor, the industry cloud company, today announced its new Micro-vertical Specialization Program for the Infor Partner Network (IPN), an initiative designed for partners to showcase unique strengths and capabilities with Infor solutions in specific niche markets. By awarding micro-vertical credentials, Infor is confirming that the partner organization is knowledgeable and prepared to help customers optimize their use of Infor applications in a particular market such as power generation or prepared foods manufacturing. As part of the program’s pilot, eight partners were awarded specialization designations in 15 different micro-verticals at the Infor Americas Partner Summit earlier this year. The application process is now open to Infor’s global partner community to help participating organizations benefit from increased credibility and market visibility across their areas of expertise.
This initiative coincides with the Micro-vertical Product Program (MVPP) launched by Infor in 2013, which allows partners to build industry-specific applications using Infor Mongoose, a development platform that enables users to easily design applications without knowledge of complex source code or programming languages. Together, these programs give partners the opportunity to play a critical role in helping Infor deliver comprehensive industry suites that address the unique business challenges of its customers.

In order to receive a micro-vertical designation, partners must submit an application demonstrating subject matter expertise and current customers in the desired niche areas. This information is then validated by Infor industry strategy leaders to help ensure the partner can provide thought leadership and commercial insights to customers. Partners receive benefits including specialized logos, preferential lead distribution, micro-vertical designation on the Infor Partner Finder, and co-marketing activities with Infor micro-vertical campaigns.
